Hytronik HCD038/CA Casambi-enabled Bluetooth Mesh Controller for Detached Motion Sensor Integration

The Hytronik HCD038/CA is a Casambi-enabled Bluetooth mesh controller designed for detached motion sensor integration in indoor lighting applications. It acts as a bridge between various sensor heads and the Casambi ecosystem, supporting both 1-10V and DALI outputs when paired with a CBU-ASD module.

Sensor Head Compatibility

The controller has a "Plug’n’Play" detached design, allowing it to fit into space-constrained luminaires. It supports two primary sensing technologies:

• PIR (Passive Infrared): Models like HIR11* (high-bay) support installation heights up to 15m with a 24m diameter detection range for forklifts.
• HF (Microwave): Operates at 5.8GHz; models like SAM23* are suitable for high-bay use up to 15m.

Design & Commissioning

• Form Factor: Linear design (120mm x 30mm x 21mm) with terminal covers and integrated strain relief.
• Commissioning: Fully configured via the Casambi app (iOS and Android); supports Over-the-Air (OTA) firmware updates.
• Enclosure: IP20 rated; the Bluetooth signal effectively transmits through plastic luminaires
