Hytronik HIM17 Combined Microwave and PIR Motion Sensor for Tri-Level (Corridor) Control

The Hytronik HIM17 is a stand-alone, dual-sense motion sensor designed for industrial and commercial lighting applications. It integrates High Frequency (HF/microwave) and Passive Infrared (PIR) technologies to provide precise tri-level control and trailing-edge dimming.

Core Sensor Technology

• The device offers four selectable sensor modes to balance sensitivity and false-trigger resilience:
• HF only: Sensitive to minor and radial movement, even through non-metallic objects.
• PIR only: Confined detection area, sensitive to tangential movement, and resilient to non-heat-radiating objects.
• HF+PIR: Requires both sensors to activate, preventing false triggers from heat sources, air conditioners, or ventilation fans.
• HF/PIR: Activated by either sensor to maximise detection range and capability.

Functional Features

• Tri-Level Control: Enables a 100% -> dimmed -> off sequence using selectable hold-time and stand-by periods.
• Intelligent Photocell: Automatically manages light based on ambient natural light, even turning off the fixture during presence if natural light is sufficient.
• Manual Override & Semi-Auto Mode: Users can manually switch the light on/off or adjust brightness via a push-switch. Semi-auto mode provides absence detection, requiring a manual press to turn lights on.
• Loop-in/Loop-out Terminals: Dual LN terminals simplify wiring and reduce assembly costs.

Configuration

• The sensor supports two methods of commissioning:
• Rotary Switch: A built-in 16-channel switch for fast programming of detection range, hold-time, daylight threshold, and stand-by levels.
• Remote Control HRC-11 (sold separately): Allows for detailed scene programming and one-key commissioning.
