ABS Plastic Enclosures – Versatile Protection for Industrial and Marine Environments

Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, or ABS, is a terpolymer, that brings a high degree of protection within the enclosure design. This blend of three chemicals provides chemical resistance, thermal stability, impact resistance and design rigidity. 

For our range at Power Supplies Australia, our stocked enclosures feature IP66 weatherproof ratings, UL94-V2 flame retardant and IK08 Impact resistance. This enclosure range can feature in various dimensions, from 125mm high & wide up to 600mm High and 400mm Wide. 

We feature options for both standard covers and clear lids with options for hinged or screw down, providing applications with a high degree of visibility and protection from the elements and tampering. Clear lids, allowing monitoring applications where the ability to touch or change is less desirable. This can include digital metering stations, status box indications and even solar charge controllers.

ABS plastic enclosures are RF Transparent and can allow for wi-fi or Bluetooth signals to pass through to the instruments within, making these safe for installing on applications where monitoring is key. These covers are also beneficial in applications where communications need to be maintained safely, such as housing IoT or wireless relay points for broader remote installations.
