Many LED drivers require a 1-10V signal to be applied to a dedicated dimming terminal to affect the dimming. For example, any of the MEAN WELL LED drivers listed on this website with 3-in-1 dimming.

The standard dimmer switches in most houses don’t do this. Instead, they ‘chop’ the AC power being fed to the light fitting. Unless you have an AC dimmable LED driver, this type of dimmer won’t work.

The Power Source D1-10 is a low-cost dimmer that fits into the existing wall-plate in place of the existing diming switch, so there is no need to cut new holes into the wall. The D1-10 is connected to the dedicated dimming wires on the LED driver.
