What Type of Output Protection is used on MEAN WELL True Sine Wave Inverters?
This is a question that we were recently asked by one of our customers.
The output circuit on a MEAN WELL true sine wave inverter has a current sensor.
It will shut down electronically if it senses an over-current.
There is no fuse on the output side, but there is one on the DC input side.
The only time we seen an input fuse blown on a MEAN WELL true sine wave inverter, is when the input was connected with reverse polarity.
The inverter still worked after replacing the fuse.
